Celebrating Valentine’s Day of 2015 With A New Theme

Last year, the highlight of Valentine’s day is an elevator surprise by Sugarplum. Just as the elevator opened on the first floor of my then office, he was standing outside of it with a bouquet of flowers. I almost run upstairs out of my awkwardness. You can read that here. Sorry for that. :3

Today, I got one of my favorite gifts from him– a brand new theme for this blog! Wohoo. This blog, is one of the things that he had given me on our first year together. Here’s the story on how I got my own domain name and how we started hosting websites.

Today, marks another great milestone for this blog and that is having my very own premium theme in which I can play around and hopefully would enhance my skills in WordPress. I also burned an hour or so trying to make my very own logo. I know I’m not really that artistic but I’m very grateful that I get to learn the basic in making the logo with just a simple text and some not-so good concept. If you have any comments on my logo, please feel free to do so. It would be a big help for me and this blog.

The theme that I chose from the pool of themes is Modest from Elegant Themes. You can visit their website and browse in their collection of elegant themes.

My Valentine’s day is spent on fixing my blog– personalizing the Modest theme, creating my very own logo, updating posts and updating the links of the photos that were broken, removing dead links and being able to write this (yipeee!). It doesn’t sound that fun for some but for me it sure is. I love doing this on my free time and after a busy week, this is my kind of relaxation–creating and updating parts of my blog.

We also had grilled chicken for dinner that he prepared. 😉 I’m a little bit of a spoiled brat. Thank you for making my Valentine’s day extra special always. I love you for always and always. (Borrowing some cute phrase from And the Mountains Echoed)

How about you? How did you celebrate Valentine’s Day? What’s the most memorable thing that your partner did for you? Share!
