E for Ebook and reading

My very first week in A to Z challenge 2014, to wrap it all up here’s the last entry for the week–an E post.

E is for Ebook and reading.

The fast pacing technology is upgrading each of our needs, as well as wants, as fast as it could. This includes hobbies such as running, reading or even writing. Everything seems to be a click away, or it can be everything can be on the go. Life seems to be on fast track that what seems to be okay or normal before can be obsolete or a little not practical today.

When it comes to reading, I’ve been a very fan of book reading. Yes, the hardbound books. Before, it seems the experience is lacking some sort of magic if I can’t smell that particular new or old book smell. It’s a vital part of any reading experience. As technology progresses and with the advent of information as accessible as anyone would want to, ebook reading seems to be the new “It” in town.

It’s a new experience, books became available as easy as 1, 2, 3. Gone are the days that you have to wait for the copy of your favorite author’s book at the local library; now, all you need to do is click buy, save it on you reader, then you’re done. Free ebooks are also lurking on the world wide web, take your pick.

I’m a book lover but also, I love the idea of having my very own reader and access my own library even if I’m away from home. It’s very convenient. I have a Kobo reader, a gift from boyfriend last Christmas, and I also have books. My bag contains both my Kobo and my books.

I love reading and whatever the means of reading there is, it’s still the same world or knowledge to explore.

What about your reading choices? Do you prefer hardbound/softbound books? Or, you’re more comfortable reading on your reader? Share. Share.
